  • 1 x thick slice of wholemeal or brown bread
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 x teaspoon of Butter
  • Salt & Pepper


  1. Cut a circle out of the bread using a cake ring
  2. Melt the butter in a frying pan on a medium heat
  3. Put the bread in the pan and fry until lightly golden
  4. Turn the bread over and crack your egg into the circle, fry until cooked. Serve immediately
