Start the day off with this sweet banana porridge recipe.


  • 160g rolled oats
  • 600ml milk or water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp soft brown sugar


  1. Put the oats and the milk into a pan and bring to the boil and then simmer for about 5 minutes stirring all the time.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and sugar and stir into the hot porridge.
  3. Stir in the mashed bananas.
