National Tomato Week

This week was National Tomato Week! I absolutely LOVE tomatoes! I eat the little cherry ones like grapes. I was brought up on my Nanna’s favourite, tomatoes on toast (fried in butter until soft then squashed on toast) for a delicious lunch. I love the big beef tomatoes with fresh basil and mozzarella …

I basically just really love tomatoes so it was great to go on This Morning to celebrate them! (Also to see my lovely friend Amanda Holden!)

I made a roast tomato sauce on the show, it is so easy to prepare, it takes about an hour to cook but you basically just throw all the ingredients in to a pan and then in the oven. When it comes out you can use it however you like, on This Morning I explained how to use it in a delicious cod recipe and also with pasta and pancetta and I have included those recipes here.
